It’s been quite a while since I read somewhere that Radwimps was working on their new album, but I never expected news of it to be out so soon. On 11 March this year, they will release their 5th album, which has an unreleased title. I’m sure they’ll impress Radwimps fans yet again with a collection of awesome melodies and a unique album title.
In the meanwhile, 2 of the songs have been released yesterday for download in Japan, 「おしゃかしゃま」 and 「雨音子」.

I think 雨音子 might be linked to 傘拍手 from Radwimps 4, since they are similar within their reference to the rain, as well as both having English lyrics. One thing that I noticed was how the song sample melody resembles Chara’s ラブラドール(Labrador). That might have been due to the fact that Noda Youjirou was the songwriter and producer of Labrador. However, I certainly like 雨音子 much better than Labrador.
Anyway, for those who would like to find out more about them, I did a little introduction to Radwimps’ music quite some time back. Check it out, they produce awesome music.
