Finally, a show in the winter season that I’ve been really looking forward to. I wonder why there seems to be almost no one who shares the same anticipation as I do.
Ever since season 4 ended last year, I have been anticipating the next installation of the long-running baseball series. I have to admit that season 4 was quite a letdown, especially if you compare it to the past 3 seasons. Still, that didn’t stop me from watching the new season, not after watching Goro’s journey from a Little League pitcher to a professional pitcher in the USA Minor League.
The season begins with totally no baseball action, but that’s to be expected. After all, there always isn’t much going on in the first episode of each season, except for the meet up between characters to refresh the viewers’ memories of who they are.
Season 5 will cover the Baseball World Cup, as well as Goro and Kaoru’s romance. It’s definitely something far more interesting than the content covered in the previous season. Who cares about whose father is better anyway?
One thing which I like about the past few Major seasons is the OPs and EDs. Sadly, Road of Major has been missing in action after season 3, and The Loose Dogs don’t seem like they’ll be doing any songs for this season either. As of episode 1, there’s no OP, only an unimpressive ED. And here I am, hoping for another song that’s on par with season 1’s OP.
The music issue aside, it’s great to now have 2 anime series on my weekly watch list, and both coincidentally happen to be about baseball. More people should try watching baseball anime series. For all you know, you just might cultivate an interest for it.

OMG! I’ve been waiting for it too! The subs for episode one are out on veoh. just search it as major season 5 episode #1 and it should come up! I can’t wait to see what else happens this season! it already started off really well… baseball? shimizu? what will goro do?

Major is my favorite anime next to One Piece, I even really liked season 4, seeing how much goro’s grown.
Wahooo!! I can’t wait for the subs to come out! This is one of those anime that I just can’t get enough of, so you’re not alone in the anticipation. Just dying to see goro and toshi playing together again.
Let me do a little prediction here. I guess this season will be about Goro struggle into making for the Japan Team. (Not sure about being a Major Leaguer in America. .). Also, I’m hoping this season will focus a little more on Goro and Shimizu romance. WOuld love that! I know nothing about baseball. Zero, Zilch, NADA! After watching Major, I could understand something about baseball like what is battery, how the count an Outs,Ball,Foul and such. I live in a country where baseball almost extinct. The only major sport in my country is soccer. Watching Major also give me the adrenaline rush to play baseball. I can’t anyway. . Why? In my country, playing baseball is like asking for money to drop from sky, last I remember was, I couldn’t even swing the bat. .

I am watching this anime.I am a big fan of baseball and softball since an anime named Touch.Not only do I focus on the game,but also the romance.Thankfully,Major Season 5 doesn’t disappoint me^^.

im very fan of watching the major anime,,but until season 3 is all we have here in Phil., if only there is an season 4 and 5,, ill enjoy it to much

hi! ive been watching Major season 1-3 for 2 yrs now. coz thats all the episodes here in the philippines. HERO channel. i wonder why its only 3 season till now. i hope they will add season 4 of Major soon. if lucky season 5 too^^
