Actually it wasn’t dreaded since I was certain that I would pass. There was only a single question that remained. How well/poor did I actually fare?

384/400
I lost a total of 16 marks, 3 to the Vocabulary section (97/100) and the other 13 to the Grammar section (187/200). Full marks for the Listening section was a pleasant surprise as I was sure that I had gotten a question wrong. Oh well…
Not too bad I suppose, but I could have done a little better if I checked instead of scheming wonderfully retarded ideas such as this.
Still, the fact remains that I suck at speech. I don’t really get much practice except for Japanese lessons, and the occasional exchange program. Speaking of which, I’ll be hosting another Japanese exchange student in 2 weeks time. It’s only 1 day, but that’s still better than nothing.
Currently, I’m taking a JLPT 2 preparation class in hopes of passing level 2 this year. As much as I hope to be able to sit for level 1 this year, it’s pretty much impossible for someone my calibre. Still, I heard from my teacher that there might be a chance to do enter the JLPT 1 preparation class if one obtains a certain score in an upcoming test. I’ll try.
While JLPT 3 certainly isn’t enough for me to live in Japan, or even do certain song lyrics translations *ahem*bumpofchicken*ahem*, I’d say it’s good progress for a year and a half of Japanese studies.
Now, onward to level 2 and beyond!
Congratz. You did a perfect in the listening section!!
Im begining to self study japanese. ^_^
Well done mate, still waiting for my JLPT 3 results. According to SOAS, I’ll be getting mine at the end of march. Don’t know if I did as well as you, because I been self studying japanese for 4 months.
Nice job, double. Now I can come to you whenever I have something I need translated. XD
wow such good scores…

Kaphillca > Let’s hope that you fared well too =)
Stifler > I guess I could help… But then again, I was never really good with translations.
Hee Jin > Thanks. But still, there’s always room for improvement.

sugooiiii…..you got a perfect score for listening section. You know what, listening is the most dreadful section for me. Maybe I need to clean my ears first be4 I take the exam, hehe… Anyway, I’m going to take the exam for level 3 tis year. How was it when you take it? Muzukashiin desu ka? Kanji wa dou deshita ka? How many kanji we have to memorize?
Just curious, which Japanese Language school did you attend?
silky > I can’t exactly remember how many Kanji you’ve got to know, but it isn’t that difficult. Level 2 is where the fun and games begin.
anon > Ikoma.

LOL I have this niggling feeling that I should switch to Ikoma! Bunka’s great for speech and all that but somehow everyone seems to be doing better at Ikoma! X3
Yea I think it might be worth the switch. Since JLPT’s all about reading and understanding, writing to some extent too. I’m sure you can get speech practice via other methods such as your baito.
