Q & A

Just by the title, I never would have guessed that this would be the latest piece of work by Adachi Mitsuru. What does the title mean anyway? Question and Answer?

As usual, the art’s the same old stuff. Those who prefer modern day moe art wouldn’t be able to appreciate this and complain that the art’s too stale, but I’m perfectly fine with that. Anyway, it’s not like I read his work solely for the character designs.

There element of sports seems to be lacking in this manga’s debut chapter, without even the slightest presence of baseball or boxing. On the other hand, there’s the element of supernatural, which involves a younger brother being able to converse with his dead elder brother who commits acts such as giving the audience a Adachi Mitsuru-styled fanservice scene or two.

In chapter 1, nothing much was really covered. Only the main characters were introduced, and the fact that the protagonist can have a nice chat with his brother’s soul was squeezed in towards the end. Just like any other of his works, it’s quite hard to judge how a new piece of Adachi Mitsuru’s work would fare just within the first few chapters. It usually takes much longer, say a volume or 2. That’s probably because he dedicates a few pages within each chapter just for scenery panels.

Those who share a love for Adachi Mitsuru’s works would probably join me in picking up this new manga series. The release schedule should be on a monthly basis, which would indicate a wait that might kill some people such as The Soujourner.

Me? I’m fine with that though. After all, more Adachi Mitsuru is always a good thing.

Copypasta lol. Anyway it’ll be better to let a few (read: A LOT) of chapters pile up before reading this.

The name comes from the brothers’ nicknames. Kyu (Q) and A.

A’s the one on the cover (and is still alive).
