The game will be officially launched today, but I think that earliest I can get my hands on a copy from local retail stores would be either by Sunday or Monday.
Since there’s the local multiplayer function which appears to be really cool, I’m looking for fellow Dragon Quest fans to play the game. The people around me in school are mostly PSP owners, so it’ll be hard to find a partner, let alone 3 other people to play with. As such, I’ve to resort to looking for adventurers online. I was really hoping for some online multiplayer game play, since it’ll solve the problem of finding DS owners who are willing to buy the game in Japanese. It’s just not as easy to find Dragon Quest players locally, as compared to the ever-popular Monster Hunter on the PSP.
Back when I was playing Dragon Quest Monsters II on the Gameboy Color, I didn’t have any friend who had the game. It was a real pity that I missed out on the multiplayer experience back then. Too bad I didn’t have any cash back then, or I would be grabbing both versions of the game and simulating my own multiplayer experience.
Yes, it’s that sad that the games I play aren’t enjoyed by the people around me. The same goes for music.
So, the main point of this post is, who’s up for some DQ IX adventure?
What’s the multiplayer like? Is there a link to a review or some such in Chinese or English? My Japanese isn’t good enough for reading things like reviews.
