My final paper for the semester ended yesterday, and I’ll be flying off soon to Fukuoka like I did last year, in a couple of hours. My flight’s at 1am, so I’ll be arriving at the airport at around 8am.

No, the guitar’s not coming along
What you see above is my baggage for 17 days. That’s right, more than 2 weeks. Half of the roller luggage is filled with stuff that I’ll be giving to some of the people I’ll meet, so I really don’t have much with me. I would bring more since the luggage weight restriction for Business Class is much more lenient, but travelling alone with too much to carry is a killer.
My objectives of this trip are:
- Meet up with friends
Most of my friends reside in Kyuushuu, so I’ll be doing most of the meeting up during my first week. I’ll be staying over at a friend’s house in Kumamoto, so I’m not sure if I’ll be updating logs of my trip on a regular basis until 12th September, when I’ll be in Tokyo.
- Attend some live band performances
I already have a ticket for Tacica’s live at Shibuya-AX. Also, I’ll try to grab tickets for つばき’s live at Kyoto Mojo, as well as The Hiatus’ live at Zepp Sendai. It’s a pity the Polysics live at Que in Shimokitazawa sold out by the time I knew of it.
- Buy some CDs/DVDs
凛として時雨 and Tacica are some of the artistes whom I’ll be supporting this time round. I doubt I’ll be getting any anime CDs, DVDs or even figurines, since Akihabara isn’t on my list. My time in Tokyo appears to be really packed anyway.
- Savour tasty Japanese food
The last time I bought horse sashimi, I totally forgot about it and left it in my friend’s fridge. It was only when I arrived at Tokyo when I realised it. I must eat it this time round! Besides that, delicious ramen is a must. My digestive system also welcomes any other tasty food. Egg’s Farm, here I come!
- Sing karaoke
My voice is so awesome, you’d claw your ears. But I’m still going to kill some people by singing some karaoke. To think I used to dislike karaoke.
- Chill out
As much as I can, I don’t want to be the regular tourist this time round. Or at least not do the usual stuff that tourists do. I really hate how tourists rush from one to yet another place of attraction. School’s been a bitch, so I’d like to take some time off it during this holiday to relax.
Alright, see you again when I update in Japan.

buy me some stuff double~~~~
Probably food or cds. I’m not heading to Akiba anyway, so otaku stuff is out of the question.
Try the Natto from Kumamoto, I heard they’re good
Good luck with the tickets.
leaving very early.. (or late).. I found kind of exhausting leaving at 1am. Anyways, have a nice trip.
Have a nice trip dude. Also, buy me some stuff~
Just kidding. o/
Have a good time, double! And your singing isn’t bad, really. Karaoke is fun, is it not? lol
And oh, do locate the areas with good food so I can try them later this year. XD
Ehhh… Valve mailed a T-shirt to me. I am presuming that it belongs to you.
Sojourner > You can keep it, foc. My friend doesn’t want to pay for shipping costs.
