I love midnight flights as I can touch down early in the morning and still have the whole day ahead. At the same time, I hate them because I only get 2-3 hours of sleep. This flight was pretty awesome though, since they kept stuffing me with food.

Just before landing
After arriving at Fukuoka Airport, I made my way down to Kumamoto, but not before missing a station because I slept past it. There I met a friend from a previous exchange programme. Today was basically going on a date with a really cute girl, except that I can’t get her to be my girlfriend because she’s already someone’s. ORZ
I was supposed to meet another friend in the evening before heading over to his house to stay for the week, or I thought that was how the plan should be. While walking out of the station, we bumped in that friend as we were walking out of the station.
Lunch was okonomiyaki, DIY style.

It was my first time, so I screwed up mine. My friend, however, did a nice flip for his.
We were all asking each other what to do throughout the whole of lunch, before coming to a decision; Karaoke. The girl was a really good singer, the guy was decent, and I was horrible. I need vocal training. Also, half my list of songs were by Radwimps and Bump of Chicken. While I do listen to many more artistes, I need to go learn some songs instead of just sticking to the same artiste during karaoke.
We went home slightly after a 3 hour karaoke session (we really had nothing to do, Kumamoto has nothing much except Kumamoto Castle), and it sure was a long bus ride. Picture this. 30 mins to Kumamoto City by bus, and another minutes by tram to Kumamoto station. That’s the amount of travel time I have to go through daily before I’m able to head out of Kumamoto. Still, it’s great that I’m lodging at a friend’s home. Lodging prices here are at least 4000 odd yen a night.
Dinner was awesome home-cooked Japanese food. Tonkatsu with salad, noodles soaked in vinegar and vegetable soup. It’s been a long time since I ate so much. Coming to Japan has definitely increased my appetite, and I’m certainly not going to skip any meals like how I did in Singapore.
Tomorrow’s going to be yet another “date with a girl who can’t be my girlfriend”. Saturday too. FML.
P.S. I’m now attending 3 lives, instead of just 1. Woohoo!

What are the other 2 gigs you’ve got tix to?
I really can’t explain to you how jealous I am of you. God I want to go to Japan.
Free food and lodging? No wonder you could afford that business ticket.
Sqee > つばき and the hiatus.
MrMayat > The ticket was free too. Only paid airport tax
