9mm Parabellum Bullet – Inochi no Zenmai

Most of the people who watch watch would probably only know of 9mm as the band that did the OP for Real Drive (R.D 潜脳調査室), Wanderland. But they’re definitely more than that. While I didn’t exactly like their 2nd album, Vampire, everything after that has been pretty good. Some criticism can be seen for Black Market Blues, but Cold Edge was terrific. And now, on 6 January 2010, they’re releasing a single, 命ノゼンマイ (Inochi no Zenmai) as the theme song for a movie, 彼岸島 (Higanjima).

All I know is that the movie contains vampires.

Vampires that aren’t sissy Twilight bullshit, but real vampires that’ll make you pee in your pants. The PV and song does suit the feel of the movie. It’s eerily terrific. If 9mm continues on with this path, I’ll be listening to them a lot for a very long time.

Man, I wish I could attend a 9mm live concert…
