I’ve never really heard of a figurine company named Aoshima until I saw this.
I asked around and soon learned from Shiawasekun that Aoshima was acutally dealing mostly in the car model industry, and the Haruhi itasha model was actually done by them.
It seems like it’s going to be released in December 2008, or at least it’s stated to be so by this source.

For my past few trips in Japan, I’ve noted a Japanese habit each time I enter a bookstore or stroll past the convenience store’s reading material section. It seems that browsing through reading materials free of charge, followed by placing them back on the shelves instead of buying them is a national habit. That being said, I’m in no way against that habit. In fact, I would very much like to have such a habit too, but the thing that stops me from developing such a habit are the “No browsing” signs all over the magazine sections in local stores.
I’ve digressed too much from the purpose of this post.
Anyway, it seems that the Japanese have brought this habit to the interwebs too. HERE, you can browse through 30 out of 400 pages of the newly released Evangelion 1.0 Complete Work Records that costs more than 10,000 yen.

Retaining the name of ドラゴンクエストV 天空の花嫁 (Dragon Quest V Hand of the Heavenly Bride), the platform of this release on 17th July 2008 will be the ever-popular Nintendo DS.

Volks has some figurine event going on 24th and 25th May named VOLKS ALL THAT’S HOBBY 09, and they have this certain resin kit which I’m desperately hoping for them to mass produce.

In a few more hours, the Evangelion Cafe lives again! This time, it’s back back with more A.T. fields and N2 mines.

Both Cure Maid Cafe and Pasela Akihabara will be transformed into Nerv’s canteen(do they even have one?). Cure Maid Cafe will have Eva Cosplay Costumes on display (will the meidos be wearing them? I want Rei to serve me!), while Pasela Akihabara will have the Evangelion-themed karaoke. Otakus are definitely suckers for being served by their favourite characters, and karaoke’s Japan’s national past time, so I reckon that most otakus will be raiding both meido cafes faster than how Asuka’s Unit 02 rapes the mass-production units.

This is another one of those non-anime music posts that no one cares about, but I’ll just write on anyway, since I love Bump of Chicken and their music. Their music is really awesome, and they should be given much more attention and love.
Anyway, coming out on 14th May, Orbital Period. Don’t be mistaken by the name as it has the same name as their album released last December. This time, it’s the DVD version containing the latest PVs. I’m looking forward to this, since their PVs have been rather good. Here’s the PV tracklist.
