Bloody Monday 2, What’s This? Apple Products?

The new season for the Bloody Monday drama began a week ago with a 1.5 hour special, and it sure was great seeing more Bloody Monday. If you’ve read the 2 season of the manga, the story should be quite different from the manga. Some changes have been made, but I’m not sure if those are really changes, or stuff that has yet to pop up in the manga, considering the pace the drama is going. I’m pretty sure the producers of the drama have decided to just surpass the manga and write an original storyline. I’m not too sure if that’s good, but the first episode was pretty decent so far. It just needs more hacking and less whining.

Anyway, HP collaborated last season and Falcon was hacking using their laptops. I have the MiniNote that Falcon had at the start of the series, and it’s quite a resilient thing. It still works after being dropped twice, but I had to change the screen because of a crack.

This season, it seems like they’ve called off the deal with HP and decided to go with Apple instead. Seriously, Apple? I’m predicting a slight rise in the population of Apple fanboys, and girls.

Falcon’s Computer Hacking Is Just Like One Of Those Introduction To IT Textbooks

This was published not too long ago, just last December. At first, I thought this would be one of those character guide books for a manga series, just like any other, but it was totally the opposite. This is one of those instances where manga is educational.

Adaptations From Another Perspective

I’ve finally caught up with Bloody Monday, at least till the latest tankoubon release. Book 8’s going to be out real soon, in probably a week or 2.  I think I should really begin reading the weekly chapter releases in Shonen Magazine after completing book 8. Meanwhile, it’s a good thing the drama’s ongoing and the end doesn’t appear anytime soon. This means I’ll still get my continual weekly dosage of hacking and action scenes.

Anyway, I’ve finally understood why I didn’t enjoy the previous episode as much as I should have. I’ve was trying too hard in my comparison between every single thing in the drama and the manga.

Bloody Monday Episode 4 Was A Bore

As much as I’m in love with the series, I can’t help but frankly admit that episode 4 was the most boring episode as of yet. While the past 3 episodes have been decently on par, if not slightly more interesting than the original manga, this episode was sub-par.

To begin, the action only consisted in the shooting of guns and some scuffling around. This means that hacking was totally absent in this episode. I mentioned before that the main motivation for me to watch this was the hacking. The hacking scenes are precisely why Bloody Monday is one of a kind. If I just wanted fights, guns and mind games, I would just go watch movies such as Infernal Affairs instead.

Ubuntu Is Speedy

After setting up Ubuntu on my desktop, I decided to tinker around with it. The torrent for Bloody Monday was released while I was at it, so I utilised the default torrent client that came together with the installation.

If you can’t see it clearly, it’s Down 8.46MB/s and UP 3.07MB/s

The screenshot’s crappy because I actually overwrote the original file in all that excitement.

The speeds further increased after this screenshot, before dropping after slightly less than a minute. Still, it’s pretty insane, especially since I’ve been getting crappy speeds for ages. It looks like Ubuntu will be the OS which I shall spend majority of my time from now on.

Now all I need to figure out is how to input of the character keys such as =, ‘ and @ in Ubuntu. Copying and pasting these characters is a real pain in the ass.
