The Image Usage Uproar And My Thousand Words

If I want to blog about Evangelion, I’d like to use some nice images of Rei in the post. But WAH insists that I can’t use fanart or whatever without crediting. But it’s such work to go through all that trouble for a single image! I’ve seen a solution to this here, but I simply can’t draw stickmen. Damn I should have paid attention in art class back in kindergarten.

I figured that I would need something related to Evangelion if I wanted to post about it. No, posting lolcat images doesn’t work this case.

Here are my thousand words describing another solution I’ve thought of.

LCL in real life
In the form of an image

This has got to be the best image for an anime blog post header, ever.

Also, WAH, you’ve got to understanding that trying to stop bloggers from using those images you speak of, over the Internet, is futile. They’ll only listen to you if you march up to them, bloodlusted and pounding a sledgehammer.

Evangelion 2.0 And Impatient People

I do know that Evangelion 2.0 began airing in cinemas all over Japan just 3 days ago, and someone left a comment asking why there wasn’t even a single entry about it from me. The reason’s simple.

I’m unable to watch it now. Unlike the first movie which I could watch because I was conveniently in Japan, I can only catch this movie when it hits the local silver screens, or when the official DVD is released. What’s the point of me blogging about something that I can’t watch firsthand?

You don’t even taste good anyway. Why are you releasing a new batch of Evangelion coffee cans?

Oh, right… It’s Evangelion. No one bothers about how you taste like.

Rei? In My Workplace?

I’m currently on internship and I think I found the best thing ever in my workplace. An uber wallscroll of Rei, in the office of a company that deals with stuff related to IT.

Come to think of it, the place where I work at is somewhat similar to Nerv, minus the EVAs, hawt female co-workers and Angels.

I Don’t Get The Shoujo Genre

Neither do I get why the Evangelion spinoff, Neon Genesis Evangelion: Gakuen Datenroku, is published in a Shoujo manga magazine.

I’ve been reading the manga ever since the first volume was released nearly a year ago, and have even bought the 2 currently released volumes of the series. Still, it was only until today, while I was reading the latest chapter on my iPhone and getting squashed by the mass of bodies on the train home, when it came to my knowledge that it’s categorized under Shoujo and published in Monthly Asuka. I guess this speaks quite a bit about my ignorance.
