There are only 3 Shonen JUMP manga series which I follow religiously. Bakuman, One Piece and Eyeshield 21. Now, I only have 2 remaining.

Gone with the wind, like Sena’s run
I wasn’t exactly expecting Eyeshield 21 to end so quickly after the match against the American team. I was looking forward to a plot which would extend much further beyond that match, featuring more interesting matches of Sena and gang against other teams after the All-Star Japan team dissolves. Sadly, it wasn’t as such.

If so, Eyeshield 21 fans will start swarming towards One Outs. After all, it’s a proven fact that Hiruma’s king in the character popularity ranking list. Who cares about Sena anyway?

After 4 episodes, I’m pretty much convinced that Toua is Hiruma’s older brother. They must have been separated the moment Hiruma came to life, since allowing the two of them to be together would mean World Destruction. I’ve no idea how or why I picked up Eyeshield 21, and why I even marathoned more than 280 chapters from scratch to the current latest release in 3 days. But since I have already done it, I figured that I might as well come up with a short post regarding it.

As with almost every series, I have a favourite character, be it the main hero, the sidekick, the villian, or the love interest. Till now, I think I have never had an anti-hero as my favourite, probably due to my lack of exposure. In Death Note, I favoured L over Light. In Code Geass, my dislike for Lelouch goes as far as my dislike for gay boy Suzaku.
