I can’t be arsed to write any long posts of my trip while I’m still here, so I’ll just post some photos and let them do the talking. Those of you who have me on Facebook would already know what I have been doing.

I can’t be arsed to write any long posts of my trip while I’m still here, so I’ll just post some photos and let them do the talking. Those of you who have me on Facebook would already know what I have been doing.

Where I’m staying at
I love midnight flights as I can touch down early in the morning and still have the whole day ahead. At the same time, I hate them because I only get 2-3 hours of sleep. This flight was pretty awesome though, since they kept stuffing me with food.

Just before landing
After arriving at Fukuoka Airport, I made my way down to Kumamoto, but not before missing a station because I slept past it. There I met a friend from a previous exchange programme. Today was basically going on a date with a really cute girl, except that I can’t get her to be my girlfriend because she’s already someone’s. ORZ
My final paper for the semester ended yesterday, and I’ll be flying off soon to Fukuoka like I did last year, in a couple of hours. My flight’s at 1am, so I’ll be arriving at the airport at around 8am.

No, the guitar’s not coming along
What you see above is my baggage for 17 days. That’s right, more than 2 weeks. Half of the roller luggage is filled with stuff that I’ll be giving to some of the people I’ll meet, so I really don’t have much with me. I would bring more since the luggage weight restriction for Business Class is much more lenient, but travelling alone with too much to carry is a killer.
My objectives of this trip are:
- Meet up with friends
Most of my friends reside in Kyuushuu, so I’ll be doing most of the meeting up during my first week. I’ll be staying over at a friend’s house in Kumamoto, so I’m not sure if I’ll be updating logs of my trip on a regular basis until 12th September, when I’ll be in Tokyo.
Finally, nearly a month of waiting, I finally got my hands on a ticket for Tacica’s live.

Previously, it was sold out on the first day of the ticket sales. Even on auction sites such as Yahoo Japan Auction, the tickets for the Shibuya-AX live were rare, and the bidding often rose to double of the original price. That would have been alright if I didn’t have to include the other costs such as domestic and international shipping and other fees. I still burnt my wallet a little and got it anyway. After all, if I miss out on this, there’s no telling when I can attend another live performance in Japan.

I was planning to attend Tacica’s live at Shibuya AX on 12 September. The ticket sales would only begin today, and as I have a friend who’s currently in Japan on a holiday, I asked her to help me purchase a ticket from Lawson. I was really hopeful that I could finally catch a favourite band in Japan this time.

Just moments ago, I received some bad news from my friend. I checked the Live section on Tacica’s site, and was greeted with a “THANK YOU SOLD OUT!!!”. Damn
