It was another usual Japanese lesson on Thursday, and we were learning how to use ~とき, where ~ can be either the dictionary form or plain past tense of a verb, an i-adjective, a na-adjective or a noun. After the sensei went through the ways to use it, we had a verbal practice. There was one particular sentence that we had to complete.

The genres are similar to the ones that exist within mainstream movies/dramas, with common genres such as ‘Action’, ‘Drama’ and ‘Romance’. For the target audience, the sex and age group of the audience is considered. Common classifications include ‘Shonen’, ‘Shoujo’ and ‘Seinen’. And finally, themes.
