With a broken bat deciding the match. When I first saw how Goro’s pitch broke the bat, the first thing that came to my mind was the bat’s material. Why wood, not aluminum? This prompted me to do some reading up, and it turned out that aluminum bats aren’t allowed in professional leagues. New knowledge gained because of anime. Hurray!

The PV of One Day after the break.
One thing that I really like about Major are the theme songs. Specifically, the opening theme songs. I realised that I always skipped the ending theme songs for a two reasons. They don’t sound good on the first hearing, and I’m too impatient to wait an extra minute or so before I go on to the next episode.

Actually, this post is going to be mostly on Road of Major, the band which performed the OPs for the first three seasons of Major. After all, I did say that I skipped most of the EDs, so I can’t really say much about them.
Having watched these two awesome baseball anime, I felt greatly inspired to write about them.
As stated above, both Oofuri and Major hits homeruns, and are awesome in different ways. In my opinion, Major scores Grandslam, a homerun fully loaded with 3 runners, while Oofuri scores an ordinary homerun with no runners at the bases.

Now, before the fiery Oofuri fanboys and girls start pitching at me with their gyroballs, let me assure you that I am in no way dissing Oofuri. In fact, I have absolutely no reason to do so as I love it.

I don’t think anime drive is the appropriate phrase to use here, since it sounds weird. Anyway, it’s use to describe the motivation and desire to watch anime. Just think of sex drive if you don’t get it.

A picture to let your thoughts run free
I’m sure everyone who watches anime has been influenced in some way, like those who want to be bakers after watching Yakitate Japan, or those who want to play majong after watching Akagi. Some of the influence result in short term interests, while the stronger influences result in interests that remain for years, or even a lifetime.
Just recently, I was once again influenced by anime, this time in a positive way. For almost more than a year, I have not exercised a single bit. However, just a few days ago, I broke this record. I swam for the first time since god knows when.

If only the pool had girls like this to motivate people like me to swim…
And the anime which influenced me? Major. Now, you must be thinking, what the hell has Major, a baseball anime got to do with me swimming?
