Ah, Hakone. The place with a lovely nature park, as well as lovely hot springs.

The first night’s dinner was here, and the food was awesome

2006 Japan Photos : Nagoya

During our trip, we stopped over at Nagoya for a night as my friend’s grandparents had a friend living there. Our stay there was short, so we only had time for an aquarium visit.

2006 Japan Photos : Hokkaido And The Snow

Just when I thought that I had lost them for good when my previous computer died out without me backing up any data, I realised that there was another copy of these images in my parents’ computer. My mum must have backed it up.

Taken just before the plane landed at New Chitose Airport

Back then, I have not began blogging, so I didn’t really have a space to upload and archive my pictures. However, since I have a blog now, I figured that I might as well do the archiving here, since this is related to Japan.

Anyway, it was quite a memorable trip, since it was the first time I went overseas with a friend instead of my family. Our whole trip spanned for 2 weeks in the middle of December, and we went downwards from Hokkaido towards Tokyo.

I’ve Always Wonder How It Feels To Be A Resident Of Akihabara

On our last day in Japan, we headed to Akihabara for a last stroll before departing for the airport. With no purchasing intention of any sort, we combed the streets armed with our cameras. All the photos I took aren’t of any importance, since you’ve probably seen various photos of the otaku areas in Akihabara all over the interwebs.

Apartments in the Otaku’s Holy Land

This was the only photo that started me thinking about how it would feel to live in an apartment in Akihabara, probably just a lane away from all the treasures.

Fuji TV Building In Odaiba

Fuji Television, home to countless Japanese dramas as well as some anime. Since we were in the Odaiba area, we decided to drop by Fuji Television’s Odaiba building to take a look at what the hype among tourists was all about.

Pokemon : Real Life Version

While I was in Japan, I was somehow transported to Pokeland. I’m sure we all remember where the classic Pokemon games, Red, Blue, Yellow and Green began. Palette Town. Well, it was the same for my experience. All I could remember was strolling around in Odaiba, and the next moment, I was in Palette Town. Wow! It was my dream to be a Pokemon Trainer back when I was 10, so it was like a long-lost childhood dream realised.

Japan Loot

It took me quite some time to unpack all my baggage from the trip, and finally, I’m done. Unlike my previous school trip where all the loot could be captured in a single photo, this time’s loot had to be split into multiple photos. It will be much easier for view as similar items have been grouped into the same photo.

It Sure Is Hot Back Home

Just in case you were wondering, I’m back in Singapore. In fact, I came back almost 10 hours ago at around 2am. The first thing I said when I stepped out was “Damn, why the hell is it so hot?!”. I need natural aircon, LOL.

Anyway, the weather aside, here’s my leftover ammunition from Japan.

Packing Time!

This may not be my first trip to Japan, but this is the first time that I had spent so much.

cimg5168.JPG

In the past, I used to have half the amount I bring remaining. This time, I had to withdraw some money from the ATM. To think I said I would cut down on my spendings this trip. What a liar I am.
