Before episode 6, I was expecting that the school festival live performance would slightly salvage the already ‘meh’ image I had for K-ON!. It’s usually these live performances that make a music themed anime memorable, or so I thought. Just take a look at BECK, or even non-music related anime like Haruhi. The live performance are always the zenith of shows that contain them.

Then came along K-ON!, which failed terribly. The main reason which actually held a glimmer of hope to save the show was the school festival live, and it was so disappointing.
